Chinese: Putonghua (hua), Pŭtōnghuà 普通话 (literally "common speech"), Modern Standard Chinese, Standard Mandarin, Mandarin (China), Guoyu (Taiwan)―”Heping" 和平 [həpʰiŋ]” (peace)―China (a semi-artificial language based on the vocabulary of Mandarin topolects, the pronunciation of Beijing dialect and the grammar of modern vernacular writings. It's the official language and lingua franca of China). Hàn yǔ – hàn refers to hànzú, or the Han ethnic group. Of the 56 ethnic groups in China, the Han people account for over 90% of the population. hàn yǔ, as the name suggests, refers to the language of the Han ethnic group, or Mandarin. Mandarin Chinese is considered “standard” Chinese as opposed to other Chinese dialects.
Chinese: Guoyu, 國語 (literally "national language" in Taiwan), Putonghua (hua), Pŭtōnghuà 普通话 (literally "common speech"), Modern Standard Chinese, Standard Mandarin―”Heping" 和平 [həpʰiŋ]” (peace)―Taiwan (a semi-artificial language based on the vocabulary of Mandarin topolects, the pronunciation of Beijing dialect and the grammar of modern vernacular writings. It's the official language and lingua franca of China).
Chinese: Chinese, 漢語 , Sinitic languages―”Heping" 和平 [həpʰiŋ]” (peace)―China (Chinese is a very vague term: in its narrowest sense, it refers to the standardized version of the Beijing dialect of Mandarin, known in Mainland China as Putonghua (普通话, lit. common speech) and in Taiwan as Guoyu (國語, lit. national language) (These two are mostly the same, with few differences). Whereas in the broadest sense, it encompasses all the varieties known as Sinitic languages (all extant descendants of Old Chinese, including Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka, etc.)
Chinese: Mandarin, 官話, a Sinitic language―”Heping" 和平 [həpʰiŋ]” (peace)―China. (If we cluster different dialects of Chinese into clusters by their mutual intelligibility (if two are mutual intelligible, then put them into the same cluster), Mandarin (官話) would be the largest of such clusters). Pǔ tōng hua (the literal meaning of pǔ tōng huà is “common language”. pǔ tōng huà is the official language of Mainland China. Pǔ tōng huà is the more standard, better-pronounced Mandarin. Mandarin is a family of Chinese dialects. These dialects are mutually intelligible for the most part. There are at least 6 subgroups of Mandarin: Northern Mandarin (Beijing dialect, Tianjin dialect), Central Mandarin, Jiao-Liao Mandarin, Northwestern Mandarin, Southwestern Mandarin and Jiang-Huai Mandarin.

I am looking for guest blog opportunities and a position as poet-in-residence. My current project is writing dictionary poems using words in different languages for the English word "peace." You can read some of my poems on Poemhunter .
As poet-in-residence I would write poems on different words in different languages and broadcast them throughout the social media blogosphere. Each poem would link back to your site where the word or language appeared.
I would expect some sort of stipend and a six month to one year placement. Please contact me for details if your organization is interested in having a poet-in-residence to help get your message out. Nervewhisperer@gmial.com
