Words have energy and power. Peace in English is being sent out in service of world peace and world healing.
Peace and Calmness
Peace and Peaceful
describe a situation
an event that is without turmoil, stress or war
a situation a quiet still lake with birds calling to each other
a land without war planting the land for a future harvest
a country road at dusk in the summer when everyone is home getting ready for a family dinner
deer grazing in a mountain meadow
Calmness is inner peace in the face of conflict
a man standing by a still lake focused on his photography rather than the barking dog
a mother with a toddler having a tantrum knowing it will pass
a speaker excited and confident on their topic
a Qigong master in an urban park with the bustle of traffic all around
Emotions Around the Body
English speakers feeling nervous
might say we have butterflies in our stomachs
The Spanish expression for nervousness
is "tener nervios" or to have nerves
In Korafe a Papua New Guinea language of Oro Province
speakers describe anything sharp or powerful as "dika-ghae"
literally teeth-with or with teeth
Patep speakers in Morobe Province of Papua New Guinea
say "rna-yin" or eye-needle for anything sharp or thorny
Another Patep word
"nita" or insides
holds extensive emotional space
meaning at times:
but "xeyaa" or stomach
indicates happiness or anger
and "ni" which is skin or essence
indicates shame and disgust
while "vaa" foot or leg
can also mean to be pleased
Psalm #4 From Tefillin Psalms by Jason Jinen Shulman
If I need to bear this pain
Let me fill it with water
And float on it.
If I need to sink in it,
Let my lungs be huge
And my breath deep and long
And let me dive to the bottom.
If I must drown in it,
Dear God, let me swallow
As much of it as I can
And sink to You quickly,
Rapid as a heartbeat
In a bird sensing danger.
If nothing like this is to happen,
and I am making too much of it,
and I am to walk step by step
toward You, may I see
the water and the breath and the bird
as my illusions, and the pain I
bear. as my ticket home.

I am looking for guest blog opportunities and a position as poet-in-residence. My current project is writing dictionary poems using words in different languages for the English word "peace." You can read some of my poems on Poemhunter .
As poet-in-residence I would write poems on different words in different languages and broadcast them throughout the social media blogosphere. Each poem would link back to your site where the word or language appeared.
I would expect some sort of stipend and a six month to one year placement. Please contact me for details if your organization is interested in having a poet-in-residence to help get your message out. Nervewhisperer@gmial.com
